First things first, I must give Credit, Glory and Honor to the Lord for making this a dream come true!

The Dozer Dame gets her name from the color obviously, but one definition of Dame is a female member of an order of knighthood. Hence "DD" the Dozer Dame.

ACE JK Rock Sliders installed along with some stickers.

Less than a week old and she has 505 miles, I have officially broke her in; the engine of course. She has been off road as well, but nothing to serious yet.

I am hoping to meet some trail buddies in the Colorado Springs area real soon!

I have church Sunday morning, but I am available in the afternoon as well, as all day Friday 11/23, Monday, 11/26, & Tuesday 11/27. Will any of those times work?

jagerhelix 11-19-2012 06:35 PM

There is a run to spring creak on Sunday that will take most of the day. I'm not sure about the other days. It would be a good run if you really want try out your upgrades. I understand church day though. I personally only miss church when the alternative is being in the mountains with my sons. I think the man upstairs is cool with that.

How do you like the Ace Rock Sliders with the AEV lift? Do they make it any easier to get in...or do they get in the way? I'm thinking about adding them to mine too.

The entire family likes them, from the youngest to the wife. A little easier to get in and they don't get in the way at all. I like them a lot; they are functional and definitely improve the appearance IMO.

Guapo 11-21-2012 09:01 AM

I'll have to add the Ace sliders to my to do list once mine arrives.

How do you like the ride of the AEV suspension? Is it all that you hoped for?

CrushUnltd 11-21-2012 10:03 AM

Great looking Jeep.
Congrats!

It is pretty sweet; I am happy all the way around. You definitely get what you pay for with AEV.

Looks nice!!! Like Wonderlust said, time to find the weak points. The last time I was wheeling with an AEV rig was quite a good time. This was the prototype AEV demo rig that was at a 4x4 promo in Denver. He had the AEV 3" lift, all the bumpers and goodies along with the 5.7 Hemi. He came along with a group that did Carnage Canyon near Buena Vista. He hooked up with us and did Chinaman's Gulch. I have a 1999 TJ on 35's with at that time no lockers and was still running my D35 rear end. My friend had his 1974 CJ5 running D44's both front and rear locked. By the time the whole trip was done, I had done all of my usual tricks, those who have been with me know what I am talking about, with no issues at all. The CJ5 did all of his favorites too. Once again no issues. AEV did not fair quite so well. He did most everything that we did with no issues until we got to the 2 steps at the top. This is where the shor wheel base guys excelled. He turtled his to the point that we had to winch him off. Got a good laugh. When we got to the bottom at the end of the trail he had hit 3 out of 4 corners on his bumpers, scraped the hell out of his undercarriage, and bent his tie rod. But the motor did sound BAD ASS!!!!!. Still a good system though. I think he was expecting a little easier trail.

Sounds like you have a lot of experience and know your way around. I am probably the weak point at the moment, but that won't last for long. I too might be in some of those same situations, but we all have to learn sometime. I am looking forward to the family time and the many challenges ahead. Who knows, maybe one day you will see me on the trail and give me a pointer or two. Hopefully you won't have to de-turtle me.

Hope to see you on the trail too. :thumb: For some odd reason I have a tendency to get people in positions that they can't believe that they can get through. Shoot I even got Wonderlust to hang a tire in the air. He said that he had never had his dozen on only 3 tires:eek:. He was with me when I tried this line on Chinaman's Gulch on April 1st. I will never say that I have a ton of experience, but I am able to do some crazy stuff. The biggest thing is to know your limits. If you are going to try something, give it a try but if you feel like it isn't going to do it, don't do it.

By the way I haven't been able to match this line since I did this either.:D But I still try.

P.S. don't forget to put next years Jeeptober run. Everyone had a blast and so can you.:thumb:

Bushwacker Fender Flares and a great day on Hotel Gulch.

BV Jeep, not as articulated as you in that awesome photo above, but she has potential.

cool! Not wasting any time are you? This strange weather has really extended the wheeling season (not including the snow runs). Hope to see you out some time

No Sir! Today we did Bull Park. We started in the afternoon, but as you can see we had to do the entire trip back in the dark. Actually, by the time we arrived to the end and played king of the rock the sun was no more. Great time!

The newest mod installed today was a lot of pin striping, tight squeezes.

I think that JK's seem to have plenty of flex. They seem to keep their wheels down better than some of the TJ's I have seen. The JK is a pretty good platform.
