TJ's Are Tank

So today I was driving home from school and I was going through and intersection and some guy either didnt see me or was going too fast for the icey conditions and he t-boned me. He hit me GOOD, he musta been going at least 20-30 kilos an hour, so Im thinking "Shit, Im going to need a new quarter panel, door, wheel, fender flare, etc" So we pull over and inspect the damage. At first I notice nothing on my jeep, a wee little scratch in the fender flare and thats it. Then I notice the rim is broken, so relatively minor damage right? So we go and look at his, he has no front bumper. At all. Hes got damage going all the way back to the wheel well because I guess ford focus's have a front bumper that runs all the way along the bottom to the wheel well. Moral of the story: Jeeps are tank, buy a Jeep

Haha glad it turned out ok for you. Hope the repairs go smooth as well.

Glad you weren't hurt. (Insert Canadian healthcare joke here)

Haha yup, all's well. And I go in for an inspection on tuesday and is the insurance company can find a replacment wheel and tire. If not my dad has some connections to automotive part retailers

If it broke the rim I would wonder if there is any type of axle damage that you may not know about right now.

Check the housing, shafts, brakes, control arms, panhard bar, all brackets on the axle and jeep, driveshaft, pinion, t case, and maybe even gas tank.

Look for scatches, it could prove that something has shifted.

Or more accurately, measure from the drivers side frame to the brake on the passenger side, then from the passenger side frame to the drivers side brake, and make sure they are equal.
