fishband 11-23-2012 04:02 PM

Yeah, it's pretty good.

Turtle Wax has been stepping up in the past few years. Have you tried their ICE line? Synthetic spray wax that can be used on paint, plastic, rubber, and glass.

It worked great on my faded spice colored hardtop.

greensahara2000 11-25-2012 11:57 AM

Picked up some turtle wax trim restorer and worked great on my besttop hardtop that is about 9 years old.
Was really faded on top and took a couple applications but so far looks great.

First one is after turtle wax application other pic is before. Not the best pic to show how faded but trust me it looks new again now.

Paint it. It will look and last better. I plastidipped mine been a year and still looks the same. Even after some hard core brush wip.

Volta009 11-26-2012 05:40 PM

I used back to black about 3 times in 6 months it wont last

Arminas 11-26-2012 06:27 PM

I was wondering if that worked, I work at oreilly's, I look at it all the time.

Volta009 11-26-2012 07:06 PM

I looks great for maybe a month then it starts to fade it kind of looks like it flakes but it fades weird I think it looks too bad when it fade to even do it. Just plastidip or paint or bed line.

Ok thanks

I'm definitely planning on painting mine when it warms up thought this would be a good option in the meantime. I'm disappointed because it rained last week and the turtle wax left a greasy film on the windows of the hardtop.

all that crap is is whale sperm. your basically just smearing grease all over everything, good luck painting it later, can you say FISH EYE CITY.

YEP ... "if" they decide to paint later. :thumb:

Armor All, 303, etc is almost impossible to remove for painting unless you know what you're doing. There are products that will remove it, but you probably won't find them at Advance or Auto Zone. ;)

krisbman 12-01-2012 01:49 PM

your right Steve, lol "If" hehehehe.

SXR311 12-01-2012 02:48 PM

Penotrol works quite well too. Easy to apply and long lasting.

greensahara2000 12-01-2012 03:02 PM

Too bad I had to find out the hard way it seems
