Armrest Ergonomics (manual gears)

Drive Sahara Unlimited, 6-speed manual. Love it, but have to drive with armrest cover up. Too high for comfortable manual shifting. Is it just me? Are there alternatives?

Quadratec has a nice arm rest pad that I use with my 08 and Rugged Ridge also makes one.
