I gotta take one of the Spartan decals I only have two for now. I wanna figure out a way to incorporate the theme more.

Very nice! Love the DCR and blacked out wheels. Looks like you trimmed the fenders too...

I did. Those are getting trades for Bushwacker Flat Flares this week. I don't like the look of the simple trimmed.

I had a similar build in mind. Nice choice for the color!

Thanks if only I had known before I bought it that Dune was come out though. I would have done a WWII Desert Rat theme. But DCR will do just fine. :thumb:

Actually, I was thinking about a Spartan theme in Dune. I think yours is a little more fitting since the Spartans were known for the scarlet chiton.

If you get the Dune I would do the military bit. It would look really good! :thumb: It's what I was planning for Sahara Tan, but those were all gone before I was shopping.

My plan was for a boomerang color-matched rigid tire cover (which they have in DCR):

http://www.boomco.com/color-matched-...p-wrangler-jk/

With a decal something like this on it (Greek for "With this or on this"):

Spartan Shield H Tan H Epi TAS Decal Sticker Car Military Ancient Greek Saying | eBay

I had the idea from another poster in the 2013 thread, and though it looked pretty BA:

^^^Eh I can't really stand the tires covers. I like the tire exposed. The matching everything is too much paint for my taste, but to each their own. I May change out my front hood stickers from Wrangler to Spartan and I'm thinking of putting Molon Labe somewhere.

Anybody got any input on which headlights I should go with? I have read a bunch of reviews and I think I'm between trucklites, jw speakers, or another bright led. I want something good but my budget for them would really be capped around $600.

Of those options I would put on the truck lite LED's if I were you. They're within your budget and they look really nice. I have seen them on a friends jeep.
I am converting to HID's right now. I will use the same kit as one shown in this thread

Looking good chris! The flares look really nice. Seems like only yesterday we were scratching our heads with painters tape and a dremel cutting our fenders. My how they grow. Finally wired up my compressor and switches now I need to get those gears and lockers in. Tired of walking past them in the garage.

Nice man! I know they are growing up. Let me know if you wanna grab a beer some night this week. I think I'm just going to lock the rear. I'm also gonna see about just going to 40s instead of 37s. I have another expensive outing in the spring. Regear, locker in the rear at least, sleeves and gussets, tires.

jagerhelix 12-12-2012 09:11 PM

40s! That's a big jump. its on my mind but not yet, although I have been looking at the 365x75r16 km2s. that's about a 38x14.50. They are only like 360 bucks from sams club. I did the arb rear, but I didn't want to invest much into the front yet since I don't know how long she'll last. Its already sleeved and gusseted, but I just got a $260 Aussie locker for it.

Those tires actually sound good. Maybe I'll get those with you! :thumb:
