Im in fairfield county ct, building a 94 yj anyone want to help?

The plan is springs over axle, 6inch rough country lift, 44inch boggers 5.2liter magnum swap, new tranny, dana 44 axles front and rear, bedlining the whole jeep, and currently I had the frame sandblasted last week I primed and painted it last week now I need to start on welding the frame... so if anybody is interested in helping i can help with your build or thro u som cash for helping

MikalCarbine 12-11-2012 06:21 PM

dneff 12-12-2012 10:39 AM

Im in westport

dneff 12-18-2012 10:20 AM

Anybody at all lol bump.

tjag99 12-22-2012 08:48 PM

Hey I'm in Weston. Have a TJ and haven't done much to it, but I am mechanically inclined and good with tools and willing to lend a hand.

CT93YJ 12-23-2012 07:55 AM

I dont think 44 will clear with 6 inch spring over my buddy have about 7 inches soa and his 37 got in the way sometimes. Unless you plan on doing alot of trimming or buy metalcloak that may help but not sure on how much.

dneff 12-23-2012 08:11 AM

Im doin 2 6inch lifts the soa which is about 5 1/2 inch lift then a 6inch suspension lift if I need more ill figure somthing out got a new set of 35s gor now maybe go to 40s if I cant squeeze the 44s

dneff 12-23-2012 08:12 AM

Tjag99 thanks I appreciate it im holding off on the work for a little while at least until it warms up a little bit

tjag99 12-23-2012 08:53 AM

Ok then, I get it.

dneff 12-23-2012 09:02 AM

If all the work wasnt outside it wouldnt be bad lol but its worth it to wait a few months get a little more cash together

tjag99 12-23-2012 09:09 AM

Ya I know the feeling, I'd be working on my jeep if a) it was warmer or b) I had more space in the garage.

CT93YJ 12-23-2012 10:53 AM

Okay i understand it now so you will have about 12 inches of lift. Then you should be able to clear 44s then i thought you were only doing spring over with stock springs to get you 6 inches of lift.

dneff 12-23-2012 11:00 AM

Yea my stock springs were shot so I said while im replacing them might as well do a leaf lift, my jeep needs a lot of work before itll see the road again but its getting there little by little.

CT93YJ 12-23-2012 06:41 PM

Yea im in the same boat right now hopefully everything will work out and i can get it on the road by mid spring

kjeeper10 12-23-2012 06:52 PM

If I was closer :(

dneff 12-23-2012 08:42 PM

I started it this past june just plannin on the 6inch lift then started taking it apart only to find it needed a lot more work so I said screw it an ripped it down to the bone im going to take the fram down soon to get some welding done I dont have the experience to weld it myself theres a local shop that will do it fairly cheap then I can start putting it back together

44s will still be a tight fit i have 18" of lift with 40s and at full flex they just clear. i would go with something bigger than dana 44s if you really want a 5.2 and that much rubber. my feep has a sbc 350 300 hp gm 1 ton 14 bolt in back and a dana 60 up front.
