Transmission rebuild help

Hey i have a nv3550 with 230,000 on it and second gear is starting to be a pain to get into. Looking for advise. How hard is it to rebuild and does anyone know of a place to do quality work? Oh and how much is it gonna run me? Thanks

I don't know where you are located but there is a shop in Bellingham, MA. The guy is a diesel head but works on all brands.
In the diesel world he has an incredible reputation. I had my Dodge Cummins tranny rebuilt there. He gets my vote.

btw: You can email him and pick his brain, he is a very helpful guy, his name is Scott.

there is a place just off 202 in Ridge, NH that will take your old one and rebuild it or you can bring it as a core and leave with a rebuilt one. That's how it used to go. I forget the name the Transgo?
