New Wrangler owner

Yeah, yeah... I know it's clean. They cleaned it up before I picked it up ;)

2000, 75k miles, one owner, rides very nice. Long story short, I shuffled some cars around and have some others on the way (work car program). This will be my daily driver for a while, then my toy later on :)

I've never owned a Wrangler, and always have wanted one. It was only in the driveway for about 45 minutes before the top was down (shortly after the pictures). I've already learned a ton from reading the forums. I searched for quite a while without a lot of success (either terrible prices or they had just been beaten up badly). This one came alone in very good shape at a good price. Only downside is that the rear is D35 (see, I've been reading), but I don't plan any heavy mods anytime soon.

The stock radio and speakers were upgraded, but it was poorly done, so those are one of the first things on the list to fix. The engine compartment is pretty filthy (inside and underneath are good), so I need to find a good thread on cleaning that out. Need to get the oils and such changed becuase it's likely been a bit. I'll probably drive it for a tiny bit, then get some black steelies and some 31" BFG A/T's.

And yes... I plan to :wavey: :p

welcome, sounds like you're hooked good. great start, be careful cleaning the engine bay, people cause problems going to crazy. don't bother detailing it. if its got greasy oil on it, use a can of degreaser, you can use the hose, but not excessively, cover the alternator and distributor, and don't hose those parts down either. just don't go crazy with the hose.

congrats on the tj.

Welcome to the forum and the insanity. Congrats on the new addition. No problem with the clean Jeep. The real trick is just how quickly can you get it filthy?:D

:wavey: Conga-rats! You're gonna have lots of fun.
First day I got home from the lot in 03 I took the top and doors off and went cruising all night. Not long after that I yanked the carpet out, put some bedliner in myself and started buying little accessories, relocation mirrors, sidesteps, etc.
And the best thing is...The wife does not like riding in it!!! :punk::D
I'd like to get some black wheels too. I've seen a few black jeeps with them and they look pretty badass to me.
The possibilites are senseless!!!!:)

MOST FUN VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hard top and doors been off ever since I've owned it.

Driving is so much fun now.

O yea, sonofabeach, my wife doesn't like riding in my Jeep either.

Nice jeep, and welcome. The last three vehicles that Ive purchased were supposed to be Jeeps, but I always got side tracked. The last one was, and I dont even drive my car anymore. Its just so boring compared to the Jeep. The fun is worth the 10mpg difference any day.
Get a few cans of foaming engine degreaser and hit it at the car wash. Let it sit, and spray it off lightly. Water and most electronics dont mix.

oh looks just like mine. Nice, the d35 isn't as bad as every body says. Dont let that make you feel bad. people just like to bad mouth it.
