Rowher Flats to Drinwater Flats 5 Jan

Well the turnout last weekend for the Santa Clarita easy run was so good that I decided to do the same run backwards this weekend. It's opposite day people lol and its going to be fun!!
I would describe this run as easy to moderate. There are sections of this trail that are challenging but by no means too difficult for the beginner wheeler. The forest service seems to think that certain sections are "double red diamond" but those of us that have done this before know that's not really accurate  This is a fun run. Great scenery and a good chance to spend a couple hours having a lot of fun with some great people!

Location: Rowher Flats Staging area 1
GPS Coordinates for Rowher Flats: (Meeting area)
34.526235,-118.383266
GPS Coordinates to Drinkwater flats (Finish)
34.52749,-118.532785

We are meeting at the Rohwer Flats OHV staging area. From the 14 FWY take the Sierra hwy exit and head East approx 5 miles to Rush Canyon road on the left. Follow Rush canyon road to staging area. There is no need for any truck trails to get to where we are meeting. The only dumb questions are the ones not asked..

Time: 1000

2) MT tires recommended

Pack a lunch or join me for pizza at Cici's afterwards.

Hi All!
Brand new to the forum, first post even!, but would like to join in if I can. I've run around 5N27 road before but anything on the trail a stock 2012 JKU Rubicon couldn't handle (doubt it but want to be sure)?- I have a FRS radio but no CB yet, would that be an issue?

Hey Man,

If you got room I think I might like to do this too. Haven't been out since I popped my tire, and I just can't wait any longer. Will have to check with the wife and get back to you for confirmation, but this sounds like a nice afternoon.

Yeah it's been awhile. I thought I learned my lesson on Miller (must get lift), but I think I forgot it, and now I need to go again. Wife said she is down, so it looks like we are in. Will be good to get out with you guys again.

Yes it does. Thank you Sir. Put me down as a maybe. I need to see what the GF has planned. But she's always up for wheeling, so it's probably a go. Thanks.
