Easy Cosmetic Mods?

I am looking for some cheap mods for my white JKU Mojave Edition that will make it stand out a little bit. I've purchased silver aluminum hood catches and black lenses for my turn signal lights (so yea, cheap and cosmetic only). Anyone have suggestions?

I have been subscribed to your plasti dip thread for a little while haha, am thinking of doing something similar to it, what materials did you use for making the stencil?

I have been checking up on that thread daily for ideas, most of the mods are actual performance mods, hopefully something cool comes up for me, thanks for the suggestion and have a great new year!!

I put a pair of black cowl guards on my Islander, and I've come to love what they do (keep doors from denting cowl) and how they look.

Was also looking for some easy (and cheap) mods and just ordered one of these. Hmm what else?

HunterTheBeagle 01-01-2013 08:28 PM

Also, I like the mopar door sill guards they are cheap, look good when u open the door, and are protective, win, win, win if you ask me.

DIY grill inserts, I just did this and the OEM 'Altitude' Black Jeep badge when I installed my Tuffy hood lock. The grill job only cost about $20 with supplies (mesh, zip ties, and mounting blocks) from Lowes/Home Depot.

Search around there's a ton of threads on it. Here's mine...

I can't find anything on the "Hot wiper fluid mod for de-icing windshiel" anyplace. Is that not located in the JK forum?

I plan on removing the rubber bumper from the hood because I don't plan on ever putting the windshield down.

JKRONNIE 02-17-2013 09:55 AM

Bolt on RKsports new hood, 4 Bolts and it's on... doesn't get any easier.

Toolin Around 02-17-2013 10:18 AM

That's one way to get rid of the bumpers on the hood, but I don't think it fits the OP cheap parameter!

$695 is cheap in the world of jeep mods... IMO I'm well over 10K now.

Toolin Around 02-17-2013 04:21 PM

That's not too bad for a hood. I always thought the carbon fiber hoods were well over $1500.

It was my first mod. It really improves the look. I think it would look killer on the white. And the reception good as well.
