Link for Truck Lite Flicker Harness?

Does anyone have the actual link and which harness I need to buy to mitigate flicker I don't wanna waste time getting the wrong one. No thread seems to specify which one is needed?

nekojku 01-04-2013 11:56 AM

I'm waiting for the new harness to be released as well before I buy the headlights.

Last I heard was sometime in January. Anyone have any input?

I know. I prefer not having to run extra wires. I purchased the gen2 today which takes care of the flicker and the high beam delay. They already sent me a tracking number. We will see if they actually have shipped it by monday. Thank you though :thumb:

Subscribed. I hope that they work! Please let us know.

Just a FYI the SMS full harness is plug-n-play, but does require the routing of the wires around the engine bay from the battery(not hard just takes a few mins depending on one's preference on cosmetics). A donlge/smoother will drop voltage where the full harness will maintain constant full power. I'm just clarifying in case there was a misconception on the SMS product, not pushing anything.

That sucks, this the first I've heard of an issue w/SMS. I'd give them a call, explain all the lighting/wiring you are using w/the harness.

Do keep in mine the PWM is in the Jeep, it causes the pulses in the voltage sent to the lights, the only way to eliminate this & maintain voltage is getting power from the battery. IMO.

K got the TLG harness. Pretty shoddy quality, but none of the wires are frayed or anything that I feel would be dangerous. No apparent flicker at idle, but flicker on high beam and still some drain down time on the high beams nothing horrible, just doesn't seem like you can flash your high beams as quickly. My plan is to hold onto these until Trucklite releases theirs, this is a good interim fix, but honestly unless the flicker really bothers you as much as it did me, just wait.

Talked to Truck Lite last week about their new anti-flicker harness....harness keeps getting delayed. Sounds like February now...

First Jan now Feb? :banghead:

Guess I'll be driving with crappy yellow lights a bit longer LOL!

Anybody still in contact with trucklite or have a reasonable estimate when these might actually come to market?

flyinion 02-25-2013 04:36 AM

Stupid question time, I just looked at the SMS link and have ZERO idea which harness to order for the trucklite LED's. Anyone know the correction configuration to order since none specify they are for LED's?

wrz0170 02-25-2013 07:13 AM

Not sure if this helps or not, but the company TLG has made a harness for JW Speaker and Truck Lite. They had some early issues with the TL with the early 2nd gen harness. Perhaps an email to verify to see if they are fixed.

Anyone know of any update from TL in regards to a harness from them?

Do we need to order two of them? Or do they come two as a set.

I believe you have to order two. Wish they came in a set but that would make too much sense. :-)

I got mine from the guys at Rockridge 4wd...just call Jeff or Derran and they will get you hooked up.

Anyone get a chance to test the TL harness with the JW Speaker? I just went ahead and place an order for a pair of the TL harness' from Quadratec and can report back on how they work once they come in.
