Craigslist yj's

Just found this one near me. 95, 20,000 miles and a plow. $8995.

tigerblood 01-04-2013 08:55 PM

yeah buts its tipped over....

tigerblood 01-04-2013 08:57 PM

seriously tho, thats nuts. before I bought mine i looked at a 95 with 70k miles and I thought that was crazy low miles.

fan of fanboys 01-04-2013 09:11 PM

Seems potentially fishy but if legit dang good

AMP'd 01-04-2013 09:31 PM

WOW, if thats legit, I wouldnt even think about it. Great find.

cakes567 01-04-2013 09:49 PM

The fact that has a plow on it scares me..... plows are really hard on the drive train.

cakes567 01-04-2013 09:51 PM

And a lot of money for a vehicle that's 17-18 years old too

thats what i was thinking... around here i don't care if it had 10k miles on it, that just means it was never driven and i'd have to replace all the parts that dry rotted sitting there... i'd consider offering em 3g on it take it or leave it

It says 20k miles but what does that mean? It might not even be the original motor. Did the old motor blow up and the replaced it so now it has only 20k miles? And its from a dealer. I don't trust salesmen and can't stand em! They will do anything to sell u that jeep!

SuperMidget 01-04-2013 10:50 PM

the BARELY driven and comment about finding one with less than 80k leads me to believe its original miles

Speedy4x4 01-04-2013 11:21 PM

Sometimes barely driven is a bad thing.

Vehicles like to run and move. They aren't designed to sit for long periods of time.

Maybe I'm just an ass, but people who put pictures on Craigslist all askew and sideways or upside down, I immediately just back out and go to the next add.
20,000 miles? with a plow? I don't like the plow part, with one of them, you can figure 40,000 miles worth of wear. $5 bucks under $9,000 is top price. I become much annoyed by lazy adds.

I agree.. If you're trying to sell something, take the time to post correctly. Another thing that makes me crazy is when people don't post pictures.

On the topic at hand, I'd be a little weary of the mileage, and the plow.. Who knows, you may have found the deal of the year. Keep us posted.

ztman 01-05-2013 07:58 AM

Sounds like someone had a dedicated plow vehicle for a business. Imagine plowing 20k miles in chicago winters

I agree. I work for a website that sells airplanes and you wouldn't believe the crappy cell phone photos that I get from owners that are too freaking lazy to drag their $100,000 airplane out of the hangar and take a decent photo.

Well it could be the deal of the year but we will never know unless we go look!!!

jherrington 01-05-2013 11:14 AM

I wouldn't. That jeep has been used to plow all of its life. Go find one for 6k with 200k and an oil leak. Fix the leak.
Presto.
Jeep for under 7k.

Not likely, you mean to tell me that shiny yellow plow with the nice blade on it has 20+k miles on it? I think not. Here in the midwest people put plows on things to make them easy to sell in the winter.

And u can easily re paint and replace the cutting eage on the plow. Im not convinced unless I see it in person with my own eyes

tigerblood 01-05-2013 10:31 PM

I guess you have a long drive ahead of you.

cakes567 01-06-2013 12:56 PM

tigerblood 01-06-2013 01:02 PM

Wrong

cakes567 01-06-2013 01:15 PM

Ok then what way is the quickest. And how long?

fan of fanboys 01-06-2013 01:17 PM

Umm why not just enter info on Google Maps. Easy way to decide the answer.

coolin4u 01-06-2013 01:18 PM

Talk them down a $1000.00 (bet you can),sell the plow, use that money to replace seals and fluids, probably exhaust also then you have a great jeep for about 1/4 the price of what you would pay for a newer one with that mileage and you dont have to take it to the dealer just to have something done to it.
