that all depends how the kit you have addresses the rubber snubbers on the front . some replace the whole snubber , some have a small cup that gets mounted between the body and the snubber and a couple add a spacer under the snubber bolted to the frame . They all seem to have different ideas as to how you do it .
I remember seeing that in I think rokmens guide for the grille supports. I'm pretty optimistic me and a buddy manages to get all my bolts off and on with an airgjn and only 2 needed the torch. Should be straightforward, but Bering a jeep this will be an all day affair with me continually posting here
Loosen one side while you lift the other. Make sure you get the centered one in the front, its easiest to do that one last. You do not need to remove the headlights for any reason.
Treat it as a second side bolt/mount. Loosen it and take it out when you have started the second side. I did the JKS system and didn't remove my headlights for the grill lift parts.
The reason some recommend removing the headlights is it would be easier to reach down with pliers to pull the nipples of the radiator grille support subbers through. Some people had luck without removing the headlights by lowering the body down on the snubbers. Almost impossible to manually push it through from the bottom. It doesn't take hardly anytime to remove the headlights anyways. Only do one side at a time for both installs and don't forget to loosen but not remove the 4 Trans mount bolts that attach to the skidplate before lifting engine.(for the MML)
Did they change the design of those? I pried mine out with a flat head between the grill and the snub and put the new on its it place, one all the bolted mounts were in place I pushed down on the top corners of the grill to secure the snubs.
Mine were the two parts on the upper left, the stocks ones looked the same but shorter, there should be no need to pull the lights. Put a towel between the flat head and the grill if you are worried about scraping.
Ok so the aggravation has started. Once I get to a certrain point jacking it up the rear wheel starts to lift, and seperation between the body and frame isn't enough to fit the spacers. Fthe center door one fits, nothing else tjoug. The very back one doesn't even separate
Don't forget the 2 above the rear axle. I killed 30 minutes cause I didn't see those 2. You have 1 below radiator and 5 along each side. Don't take headlights out.
Last bug before I pester everyone about the MML. Front driver side body mount refuses to line up. The tub is about 1/8 inch off from the spacer/bracket on the frame. I tightened up all the ones on the passenger side hoping it would tug it over, did a bit but not too much. Going to tighten up the front mount to see if that gives me any more room, if not I'm out of ideas. All other driver side mounts are just spun in by hand still
I did the same setup this weekend except I had to remove a 3" body lift. Drivers side MM was hard for me but passenger side was a breeze. I used a 4x lubricant on the mount to help slide it in. It was easiest for me to set the mount on the body and start the nut on the bottom, then get the mount in the cradle before the top bolt.
About to kill someone over the motor mount. All the bolts are out on it except for the cross member. A BFH and crowbar got it out to the point none is showing on the side the nut used to be (passenger side). Pounding on it doesn'tseem to make it budge, and neither does spinning it even though it does turn. Help me?

Its stories like these that make me want to avoid doing a BL and MML... Good luck to the OP and for what its worth, pictures go a LONG way in giving the experts on these boards (no me) a better sense of whats going on.
It's really not that bad. You just have to have patience, especially with the MML. I cursed a lot for that one, but felt dumb when I was finished because of stupid mistakes.
My stumbling block was that I couldn't keep the mount and the spacer together during the install. I immediately thought to myself that I should go in the house and tape them together with painters tape. 2 hours later from my own stubbornness I finally got it in withhout the spacer sliding off. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.
The body lift took me about 2 hours and most of that was messing with the fan shroud since I did it separate from the MML. I snapped 2 of the four bolts and ended up ziptie-ing where the bolts were missing. It's still like that 3 years later.

It's much like doing any mod on any vehicle. It never goes as planned.
