2006 Wrangler "X" Emblems

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I recently purchased a 2006 Wrangler "X" Model. I noticed that the Jeep has the "trail rated" emblem attached, but does not have the "X" emblems applied. Was there an option in 2006 to delete the "X" emblems? I have found a few other Wrangler "X" Jeeps on-line that also do not have the "X" emblems, but the majority of the Wrangler "X" models have the emblems on each front quarter panel. Not a big deal, but I was just curious if anyone out there might know the story on this. Thanks.

It's my understanding that the "Trail Rated" emblems are only a marketing gimmick.. It has the same specs as the X.

I just noticed that most Wrangler "X" Models have both the trail rated emblems as well as the "X" emblems. Mine only has the trail rated emblems, but no "X" emblems. I just wondered if you could order the jeep without the "X" emblems or maybe they just didn't put them on for a certain time period when the 2006 models were produced.

Mine came with the X emblem but i decided to remove it.

Are you sure it is an X? If I remember right the entry level package didn't have any markings (like what you are describing).

I just bought jeep emblems similar to this one but I've been searching online with not much luck.

X = D35 on a TJ.

Some Sport models also came with the D35.

True with Sport and Sahara models. But all standard X's came with a D35.
I believe the Rocky Mountain Edition w/the D44 is actually considered an X, but it has an RME decal.
So, the X decal still means D35...Get rid of it!:)
