This was a thread originally started on the JeepForum but it was recommended that we post it here also. The original thread is available Here

My dad and I decided we wanted to work on a project together and this is the first major milestone. It runs!

Added a ton of pictures to the album above but wanted to highlight the ones my dad added extra details too for anyone wondering how we did it.

This is very awesome! I give you credit for even tackling a job like this, let alone making it all work. Post video's of it running/driving.

Have you been driving it much? Have you seen possibilities to get good gas mileage?

We drove it just about every day last summer. Didn't get all the gauges working until late in the year. Only Checked the mileage 1 time on our way to the track with a GPS that lost signal. Not sure how accurate that was. There is a video of us racing a mustang GT at the top of this thread. It is back in the shop to fix a few bugs we have and replace the front fenders

Very cool! I like out of the box swaps!

That's one hell of a "sleeper" rofl

Good job

Finally getting some time for some updates. DD with over 8000 miles logged this summer. Average 16mpg with 31" and 4:11

Need advise. Will a 2.5" spring lift be enough to run 33's?

This is for a TJ...If you do fender mods yes. Without fender mods no. Combining a 2.5 inch spring lift w/ a 1 inch body lift (or a 4 inch coil lift) is a common way to do 33's. Keep in mind you'll likely need a SYE once you get around 2.5 of lift.
