8.8 swap questions

I just bought an 8.8 and was looking at the brackets needed for swapping into a tj and they cost more than what I give for the axle. I was wondering if I could use the brackets off of the original axle.

Yea, I've heard of it being done. You get what you pay for. The D-35 brackets are thinner.

For all the work you have to go through to put all those brackets on, you're wasting your time to save a few dollars. I've seen quite a few bent LCA and shock mounts. My 8.8 shock and LCA mounts are strong. Do it right the first time.

I'm all for saving a buck when it's beneficial, but when you are talking about brackets on your axle I wouldn't scrimp on it. The bracket kit from M.O.R.E is well worth the money based on the perfect fit of the brackets and their strength.
