Noise coming form transfer case?

i just installed my 1" body lift, i had to remove all the mud from around the shift linkage to install the lowering bracket, now that stupid knock, rattle, banging noise is back. it did it before, but it stoped. i would go mudding again, but i just washed my jeep, and would like to fix it?

Does it drop out of 4 wheel drive? Mine does that every once in a whil eif I'm going up hill.

when i start on a traffic light with full throttle i also have the "knock knock". but for me it is ok, the shifter works good, it stays in 4L.

A knocking noise from hard acceleration is usually signs of a loose chain.

Or the TC shifter bracket, a common problem on TJ's.

2x.. its a tsb..

I assume you might not have connected it well or something when you did the body lift. Check around, make sure its all tight first.
