I bought the rugged ridge ones and the work great when the doors are off. When the doors are on they make the mirrors set to far forward. I use them for the summer and when winter comes I move the mirrors back to the doors

What year is yours? The brackets for the stock mirrors are different for 97-02, 03-06. 03-06 are pretty ugly paddle looking because of the change in mirror configuration. If you are looking for mirriors with the doors off, there are lots of alternatives for add on mirrors. Note, passenger side relocation brackets are useless. You can't see the mirrors.

I ordered a set of rugged ridge a while ago without thinking about the two different gens of TJ (they weren't specific on the website) and got the older style brackets. Seemed well built and I got them installed... For about 3 minutes...

I've been looking a while, and have pretty much decided on these, everyone seems pretty happy with them: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f123/of...ms-171360.html

and it sounds like even the passenger side ones are usable
