water in oil

My bud has some water in his oil. He did 5 oil changes a keeps getting water. He had a compression test done and nothing came up. Might be irrelevant, but just replaced his thermostat. It runs fine, just worried about the oil. Shop said it could be a cracked head, but comp. Test didnt show anything. Any ideas?

Compression test on the cylinders or pressure tested the cooling system? Sounds like a head gasket to me but Im no expert...

i agree with plinker, sounds like a head gasket. Try drainging the coolant. what kind of driving is he doing? off road alot, or on road mainly? look into checking all gaskets, valve cover head gasket even the oil pan gasket could have a leak and water is getting in when it rains, who knows. but it sounds like a head gasket to me.

You've probably found it by now, but it's got to be the head gasket.
