winch plate

my 92 yj has a 4" body lift or 4.5" not sure on it when i bought it but will this cause me trouble trying to mount a winch plate

Thats a lot of body lift.lol. Your winch plate should bolt to the frame right behind the bumper if its a factory bumper. I dont think body lift will effect winch mounting at all...

yea i know lol and i have a smittybilt xrc stinger but the reason i was asking is because right below the grill is like a plate sticking out from the body where one of the body bolts is so now its raised above the frame

It's the plate right under the grill in the middle I didn't know if the winch plate would interfere with this or not I'm in the rebuild process this was ruff shape when I got it

That plate is probably to cover up the big 'ol gap from the body lift but I would have to see it to be sure what your talking about.

As much as I'd hate to go through all the trouble I'm thinking about taking the body lift off and putting a suspension lift on

If you have the means to do it and plan on being off road very much I would ditch the huge body lift. Either go back to stock or leave 1 inch of body lift.

Does that plate lay on the frame between the bumper and body? I cant really see it in the pic. If it does you can just get rid of it. Or if its thick enough maybe make it a winch plate.
