Thrust Angle Off?
I have an AEV 2.5" lift with the geometry correction brackets and no other modifications to the lift. I also run 35" tires. I went and had an alignment done yesterday and the Thrust angle was .42* almost double the acceptable range.
I've got a17.5K miles on the jeep and it's shown no real handling symptoms. I assume I should look at the rear CA bushings first? What could have caused this to be out of spec?
Thrust angle is controlled by your rear CA's I believe. If the control arm bolts were not loosened, and any binding freed during install. This can alter the thrust angle.
Bent axle or Ca or like mentioned a bad bushing.
Lastly, The axle being off centered can slightly alter thrust angle. Not much but it will.
A track bar axle brackets main purpose is roll center. Depending on lift height, you may still need a adjustable track bar to center the axle.
