America Attacked 9 1 1

today in japan we held a ceremony for 911, a small parade with all first responders from the area in it, local and military, and then at the end a few people spoke and the was food and softball, its good to see that america never forgets about all those lost, and it should be a national rememberance day...

As always my thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost their lives on that day.

Just an observation... When this first happened people were flying flags off thier cars, houses, and being a little nicer to one another just be-damn-cause.

I will never forget this day and I will always find some way to honor those who passed on that day.

I put my flag out at my house, have a flag pin on my shirt today, and have a flag on my jeep.

Still 7 years later, I still get a tear in my eye everytime I see those towers fall.

Our flag is flying at half mast in honor of all who lost their lives 7 years ago today. And, I'm sitting here fighting off tears.

I attended a 9/11 remembrance ceremony this morning that was put on by one of our County Supervisors. It was short and to the point, and sadly, not very well attended. It chills me to think of all the people that have forgotten what happened on our soil just seven short years ago. History that is forgotten is bound to be repeated. And frankly, that scares the hell out of me.

As a nation, we have a duty to not forget the innocent people that died that day in an unprovoked attack. We must not forget the brave people on flight 93 that stormed the hijackers, saving God knows how many lives, fully knowing that they would not live to see their loved ones again. They were the first solders killed in this war.

We must not forget the men and women that have gone off to battle in the name of this country. Some have come home in boxes; some have come home changed in ways we would not wish on our worst enemies. But they all do it because they love their country, their families, and their friends. They understand that our freedom isnít free and they are willing to pay the price. Thank God there are people in our country who feel this way.

I donít want to turn this into a political argument, but I want to say that it amazes me that a group of people in this country can spit in their faces and tell them that what they are doing is a mistake. Grieving parents and loved ones are told that they died in vain. They are labeled murderers for doing their jobs. And yet, there they are, doing what they can to make sure that those same people can sleep safely in their beds each night.

I thank God and pray each and every day for the men and women who have put themselves in harms way so that I can sleep at night knowing that my family is safe. Thank you to all who serve and have served, the depths of my gratitude can never be properly expressed.

its amazing from reading the thread about what you were doing that morning, almost everyone watched the second plane hit live. i know i did, that's when i heard about it, turned on the news and the second plane hit. seems like the majority saw it that way. first thought is ok, a plane crashed, turn on the news, and watch the second plane hit.

The liberals in this country really need to wake up and start accepting the fact if we do not do something, it WILL happen again and again. We are at war and that means we need to stay focused to root these elements out.... The people that did these atrocities do not care about you, your wives, your children or your neighbors. Their main focus in life is to elimiate us and our way of life.

You cannot negotiate with a wild dog...you simply need to put it down.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people who lost their lives and sacrificed. Thank you to those who are serving now. Your dedication is very much appreciated.

Skeeter, that video did it for me bud. That song has always made my hair stand up (as it should any American), but I made it about 20 seconds into that video and lost it. Very good, strong stuff. They should play that on every news channel for morning and evening, every 9/11, rather than all this political garbage.
