Tires on stock wheels

I want to get a 3" to 4" lift kit for my jeep, but I like the OEM 17 Moab wheels that are on it. Could anyone tell me what tire I can fit on it? For instance, with that lift I was thinking of a 35x12.5 R17 tire. Would this work with the backspacing on the stock wheel?
Also I'm pretty new to this (I know suspension, but I'm used to lowering things)...what are the best suspension setups for 3"-4", quality ride and well built. I'm not interested in relocating mounts or getting full articulation for rock crawling, but I like challenging trails and a smooth ride on fast fire roads. Does that make any sense? I just don't want to do the 'budget' kit for looks, I want it to work well.

Wheel is not wide enough for 12.5 maybe 11.5 x 33

You can slip a 295/70-17 on it with a 1.5 inch spacer....hard to find size...Cooper Discovery stt mud tire....Lots of folks go with a 285/70-17 and a 1 inch spacer they fit just fine...Gary
