Burro Wash Sunday 1-27-2013
Anyone up for Burro Wash Again this weekend? Time is Flexible. I don't remember what time we left the last time.

What time is everyone up for? Meet at Railroad Pass Casino 8:30 leave by 9:00am?

RepairMan 01-23-2013 11:08 PM

I'm in, I might have a jeep or two from work with me. 0830 goal with a leave by 9 is good for me.

jokerchief462 01-23-2013 11:30 PM

I'm in for a run no issues time is good.

Xodius 01-23-2013 11:39 PM

Hmm I maybe interested. Let me see if I can get away. Have not done that trail in my JK, did it in my KJ some time ago.

If I can get a pass I will come on out. Any requirements that you have or anything? I may know a few people that might want to come.

jokerchief462 01-24-2013 01:24 AM

More the merrier. No rules other than common sense. Just a loose group with some impromptu runs now and then and all have been fun

Str8Jeepin 01-24-2013 07:42 PM

I'm in, time is good

jokerchief462 01-25-2013 01:22 AM

Weather for Sunday no rain we are goood to go. I should be done with all my work Saturday afternoon. Fixing engines in vans sucks. Everything takes so much longer but I am almost done. See you there.

Xodius 01-25-2013 09:44 AM

Now they are saying potential rain. Should be interesting.

raythom3 01-25-2013 10:12 AM

I am going either way. If the wash is not passable I guess we turn around. There hasn't been any major down pours just yet so I really don't expect too much water down there.

Xodius 01-25-2013 04:09 PM

I spread the word to a few people I know. Should be fun.
Any set CB channel? What is the condition of the trail? Should I expect the need for my winch or anything?

raythom3 01-25-2013 05:58 PM

Usually Channel 4, and the last time we were out there it was in pretty good shape. There were a couple of rough spots but I made with our stock JK with no problem.

l2abbit 01-26-2013 02:42 AM

Wish I could guys! Ill be trapped in Caesars working.. Enjoy the day!

Xodius 01-26-2013 01:55 PM

Confirmed with one of the guys I go with. His rig is down but will be riding shotgun with me. Picking him up at 7:30 and should be there by 8:30-8:45.

raythom3 01-26-2013 02:28 PM

Sorry to say but I will most likely not be tagging along. Tweaked my back Friday Morning and am struggling with getting around right now. If I start feeling better I might still try to make it, but right now it looks like I won't be going.

Xodius 01-26-2013 02:44 PM

Sorry to hear that and know how you feel.

I will try and take some pictures and post them.

jokerchief462 01-26-2013 05:27 PM

I'm still in see whoever at 830. Ray lay down put ice for the pain. Do some stretching and knee pulls to the chest. I've had a bad back for 39 years. No fun and painful. Get better and we will find another trail.

Xodius 01-26-2013 10:55 PM

Sadly, I have to bow out for tomorrow. My wife came down with a bad cold/flu thing and she is pregnant with our first. She says I could go, but I can't. Need to take care of my wife and unborn.
Next trip I will be there, seems Repairman and I go about once or twice a month somewhere.
I was going to have a buddy ride shotgun, he is a fellow jeeper who is retired but his rig is DOA for the moment. He is located off Jones and Spring Mountain. If someone is near there and wouldn't mind taking him, please let me know. He is a good guy. I actually met him through another friend who is active military, and currently on deployment.
If not, no problem. He has run it before but was looking forward in heading out.

Sorry guys.

RepairMan 01-27-2013 12:12 AM

I will be there and possibly with a guy with a Rubicon JK that I work with.

Mark, take care of your family.

Ray, I hope your back feels better

RepairMan 01-27-2013 08:42 PM

That was a good trailride, a little more rocky than I thought it would be.

Xodius 01-27-2013 09:25 PM

Rocky as in obstacles or as in gravel?

gregaf3 01-28-2013 12:43 AM

As in softball to bowling ball sized rocks sticking out of the first half of the trail. It makes for a very rough ride until you get down into the wash.

A little bumpy??? Is there a trail in NV that isn't.
Had a great time met some great folks and it was an absolutely gorgeous January day. It doesn't get much better.

Ready for arum in Feb. here is a group photo on the beach at lunch on the CO river.

I'll post up more pics Tuesday night.

gregaf3 01-28-2013 02:33 PM

wow the water is low right now. That run is so much better in the summer when you can jump in the water!!

There was several 12" drop offs and some fun mild rock garden areas. 4W low was needed to get back up some sections after leaving the river.

That looks like a good time was had by all! :thumb:

I'm 9 days away (or maybe 8, if it's early), from my 2013 JKUR arriving here in Las Vegas! {uggh! .. 9 more days! :banghead:}

I can't wait to hit the trails!! :punk:
