Coil relocation

What are people's opinion of relocating the rear coils on a tj/ lj .

Like moving them on the axle or making the rear upper mount parallel with the lower?

One of the first mods after I completed the axle work was spring relocation... I wanted a true spring compression for a stiffer suspension. My TJ drove like a basketball when I first picked it up!

I got a set of brackets that moves the uppers. But gives a 1 1/2 lift.

I'm interested in knowing the advantages of doing this!

When you install an SYE and DC shaft, you have to change your pinion angle for it all to work properly. Tilting your pinion up results in upper and lower spring perches no longer inline with each other. (the spring will have an arch in it, and the bumpstops most likely will not line up.)

I moved my stock uppers when I did my SYE and axle swap.

Ok thanks! I've never heard of people doing this with a sye and cv! I'm still learning though!
