Electronic stability control

I have taken my 2012 JKU on two lengthy road trips now and on both of them the ESC has come on and stayed on for a good period of time.

Over the weekend it actually came on 3 times in 4 days. Anyone have any ideas why? Sucks driving 6 hours with no cruise control.

The first time I took it in they said there was an update they had to update the CPU. Obviously that didn't work.

somethings wrong. you have a speed sensor thats gone tits up or a tone ring thats cracked. dealer trip is necessary dont let them tell you its fine.

Is your steering wheel off center?

If you had a bad speed sensor it would be a continuous problem, unless maybe you have a faulty or loose connection that is getting signal through intermittently.

Also, you could stop by AutoZone and pull any error codes. That would be a big help and might save you a trip to the dealer's service bay.

you can pull error codes on the dash.

Steering wheel is slightly off center since I had an alignment done after i put a lift on it. I had the same issue prior to putting the lift on and the alignment.

I have a bud that could probably pull the errors from it so I have an idea before I see the dealer and they try giving me the run around!

straighten out that steering wheel. takes 2 seconds and a 15mm wrench
