DD Crew

What are we thinking about for the next ride?

kappaknight 02-05-2013 07:07 PM

Mark is going up to Morris Mountain this weekend with GATR.

I'm up for something as long as the Jeep is intact.

Harleyrider1108 02-05-2013 07:13 PM

Wei, that's the AL run right?

Michigunman 02-05-2013 07:18 PM

Yep. I'm going for the weekend but it's a 2 hour drive so doable for a day.

Harleyrider1108 02-05-2013 07:20 PM

Early sat ride though right?

Michigunman 02-05-2013 07:45 PM

Yeah. Saturday drivers meeting at 10:00 AM EST.

kappaknight 02-05-2013 07:57 PM

You should def. go give it a shot. Even watching other Jeeps tackle the obstacles I learned a lot.

Michigunman 02-05-2013 08:40 PM

We need to find out more about a place called Dodd Rd. Anyone heard of it?

Trailsnail 02-06-2013 10:49 AM

It looks like it is off of Bend n Hickory Road in Toccoa. From what I see on the satellite view on Google maps, it may actually be the dirt section of Bend n Hickory Rd

kappaknight 02-06-2013 11:59 AM

I assume you guys have seen this?

I seen some pretty interesting pictures on Facebook. I'll see if I can confirm the location.

I have but I tend to forget about using it.

MosesTJ 02-06-2013 01:11 PM

I need to finally join a ride. My wife and I find something close to us but minimal mud!

Harleyrider1108 02-06-2013 01:13 PM

It will probably be next Sun or the one after that till I can get out.

I've been there this past weekend

Michigunman 02-06-2013 03:38 PM

Cool, looking forward to checking it out in the next couple weeks. I'm committed to Morris Mountain for this weekend. Others may chime in about availability.

Harleyrider1108 02-06-2013 05:57 PM

That looks cool.

Harleyrider1108 02-06-2013 06:40 PM

What day we thinking? This weekend is kinda tight for me?

dee1025 02-06-2013 06:51 PM

I can do next weekend if y'all want to try bend n hickory

Harleyrider1108 02-06-2013 07:28 PM

I may be able to do next Sunday. Anyone else?

Close to Blairsville, right?

dee1025 02-06-2013 07:29 PM

Next Sunday works for me.

Harleyrider1108 02-06-2013 07:36 PM

Kappa? Michigan? Fortune? Snail?

Maybe we can get Snail out of his honey-do's again. Winning. :D

Plus there are a few winches in there to save me. Lol.

Michigunman 02-06-2013 07:40 PM

I can probably do next Sunday. Talking the 17th right? And I think it's by Toccoa not Blairsville.

dee1025 02-06-2013 07:51 PM

If y'all r talking bout bend n hickory yes its in toccoa I was there last Sunday

Harleyrider1108 02-06-2013 07:52 PM

How long is the ride? Just trying to plan time wise.

dee1025 02-06-2013 08:16 PM

I'm not sure I didn't go through all of it. I turned around not far into it cause I was by myself.

Mikega8 02-06-2013 08:46 PM

I might be up for it. I don't think I have any plays or honey-dos scheduled.
It's a 2 hr. ride up for me, but that is doable. How difficult of a trail is it?

Michigunman 02-06-2013 08:53 PM

It's a "road" so not too extreme. Looks like it has some fun parts, not sure about it end to end. I think some of the people I'm riding with this weekend may know more about it so I'll find out what I can this weekend.

Did they do the water drop?

kappaknight 02-06-2013 09:18 PM

I'm in for the 17th - nothing planned so far. Wish I knew when the parts are coming in.
