JK 2 door with RC 2.5BB and 1.25 Body Lift - Anyone running this?
I posted a request for pics from anyone probably --over a year ago. Fortunately one person had this setup, only it was on a 4 door unlimited. Looked sweet by the way. However; I'm looking for this exact setup. Rough Country 2.5BB with Rough Country 1.25 Body Lift. Stock moabs preferred but will take any pics as long as its specifically the RC 2.5BB and RC 1.25 body lift. Anyone?

I still haven't pulled the trigger on installing my body lift and want to get an ideas as to how it will look.

Thank you all for any submissions.

Truly appreciated

Why do you want a body lift?

They cause way too many headaches on JKs. You're probably going to have a hard time finding many people with body lifts, at all, let alone that exact setup... Good luck!

I run a Teraflex 2.5" coil lift with a RC 1.25 body llift on my 2 door w/six speed shifter adapter with no problems.

Body lifts are completely unnecessary when it comes to lifting a JK. 100% agree with pale on this. Body lifts were run pre-JK with good reasoning I would say.

I have a 1.25" body lift on my JK for several reasons. Added tire clearance while maintaining driveline angles, I can move my gas tank up 1.25", I can move my coil-over mounts [pending] 1.25" higher, my body mount rock sliders are 1.25" higher....

But I just like to do "completely unnecessary" mods to cruise the mall parking lots.

There are potential good reasons to run a body lift, even on a JK. Though I'm not saying the OP will take advantage of that, it's not nearly as aesthetically displeasing as it was on previous Wranglers as it is on a JK.

Agree Mike. A lot can benefit with a small BL.
Nothing crazy :thumb:

never though about the added "tummy" clearance. good point goody... :whistling:

I do agree. It's not completely unnecessary overall but in a good amount of cases where people want to lift their JK it's not needed. Getting into the more specific reason such as you mentioned it can absolutely be useful.

Good luck finding a bumper/tire carrier that will work with a BL, though! And that's just one example...

teraflex HD hinge and carrier would work fine...

Absolutely, but I did specify bumper/carrier, didn't I? lol

Was just an example... and, of course, this is all just my opinion. If you want 3.5" of lift, then buy a 3.5" lift.

How many people who install BL's are actually going to do the follow-on tummy tucks as well? I'm guessing very few...

very true and yes you did. i'm with you. went with a 4" short arm lift myself... but goody had a very good argument. one i hadn't considered before.. and i'm glad he posted it. might open up some options for some folks.... :thumb:

far as bumpers and tire carriers. i haven't found one that blows me away and i've been looking for three years. finally bought TeraFlex's HD hinge and carrier. still running the stock bumper. one of these days i'll get around to a rear bumper.

i do like the looks of AEVs (without the tire carrier)... idk

I run the TF Carrier (without the hinges) myself, and I'm still waiting on LoD to release a matching Armor Lite rear bumper... not sure it's ever going to happen, though. :(

I have a rear tire carrier/ bumper that mounts where the factory hitch use to be and the frame rails on the sides where the stock rear bumper would mount. The tire carrier doesn't have anything attached to the tailgate and will work when/if I decide to do a body lift. Im guessing a tire carrier like ACE will not work because it has a heim joint attached to the tailgate.

Theres a lot of threads/posts on another jeep forum that talk about putting a 2.5 coil lift and 1 inch body lift together. Folks either no body lift or just a 1-1.25 inch, don't do 2 inches. It probably wont look right if you don't have at least 35 or 37s. I think a body lift is a good call in certain circumstances but not all.
