2nd Annual Virginia Jeep Meet and Greet!

I realize we just did one in December, but thinking of setting up another, a little more organized maybe with vendors this time, any interest in doing one in April. If i see amy interest, i will begin planning it. Thinking maybe same place (maybe it won't be so cold?) They have ample parking for us to do it there again!

My wife and I would be in depending on location. Two Jeeps coming from Manassas area. We'd probably drive up to 2-3 hours for it.

My family and I would probabley be down. Where was it last time?

Turbostixxx 02-09-2013 07:19 AM

Richmond or Fredericksburg? I can do either, easier for Richmond, and possibly allowing for more jeeps from other locations, would Richmond work for everyone?

We had at right off exit 130 off 95. Its about 50 miles from richmond. We have a great relationship with quaker steak and lube up there, and they offered to host again

What was the charge per head last time? I think we will get even more people to come out if we can keep the overhead low for the people that will really have to drive a good distance. Also we could look into a near by hotel and try to get some good rates for the people that might stay overnight. Just some ideas.

Free, just asked everyone to bring a toy for toys for tots, other than that, there was no charge to be there

Cool, did they discount for anyone eating there? I've never been to a Quaker steak and lube before, so I'm not sure what the experience is like.

They did not, however they did give us 15% of our food cost to give to toys for tots as well. Last time it was thrown together in 3 weeks

In December when we had it in Fredericksburg, we had people from NOVA, Richmond, Chesapeake, Lynchburg, and even a fella from Pennsylvania...looking for a repeat but bigger, we had 70 people say they were coming last time, and I think the final number was 47 showed. Anybody who wants to help me get this all planned out is more than welcome to, you can shoot me a pm and we can trade contact info. Looks like we have some interest, so I will start planning I believe

fluf97zj 02-09-2013 09:32 AM

Depending on the date, I would be interested. Richmond or Fredericksburg is good for me.

QuietSpike 02-09-2013 09:42 AM

In... Depending on date.

I'm in as well, depending on date...

Turbostixxx 02-09-2013 05:17 PM

What would be a better date for everyone? Beginning Mid or Late April? I will also start looking at possible Vendors and Locations to set this up, I would like it set up completely by March 1 so everyone knows exactly what is going on and we have a whole month to just get people to come

gyramax 02-09-2013 06:04 PM

I'm up for Richmond as a mid-point. The Wheels for Hope event is scheduled for April 27-28.

pcwolf 02-09-2013 06:12 PM

Count me in whenever wherever. I'm the guy from Yorktown with the Bantam trailer

jwilson2598 02-09-2013 07:07 PM

If the date fits the schedule I'm definitely in again. Fredericksburg is a good middle ground, and since it will be warm in April, maybe we can caravan to Carl's for ice cream after lunch if we wanted.

OffRoadCam09 02-09-2013 07:21 PM

I'd be in, just need details when it will be goin on. Richmond would work better for me comin from a 2 an a half-3 hour drive

Dragline 02-10-2013 07:13 AM

Depending on the date, we are in.

TASARCTIC12 02-10-2013 07:50 AM

I am in MD and if date works I plan to attend...Can Probably convince a couple other folks to come as well.....
