Ok guys update on my progress. The Zone Offroad 3" lift is on as are the 35" Nittos and 18" Fuel Wheels. The thing looks amazing but its not done so no pics yet. I got a bull bar and the new RK Carbon Fiber (fiberglass version)Hood coming.
I drove the jeep expecting this thing to be terrible and to my surprise, it isn't. I honestly can't tell any difference other than it being higher off the ground and the tires riding different than the factory wranglers. The engine/trans/gears are all spot on. I dont need to regear anything and the transmission seems to be shifting right where it needs to, as was before. I do know the speedometer is off a little bit though. According to the GPS and my wife follwoing me, under 40 and im about 2-3 fast than what the speedometer shows. At 50-80 im 5-6 over what my speedometer shows. I also had this verified by a really nice police officer who clocked me at a couple different speeds.
Here is my dilema. I ordered and have the ProCal module on my table, unopened. I just spent $150 on this thing from Quadratec and have no intrest in spending that much money to adjust my speedometer. If I dont use this will I be harming anything? I mean truly bringing harm to my vehicle. I realize some of you are perfectionists and thats ok, I however, am fine just understanding that my speedometer is 5mph off. i would much rather spend that money on more mods.
I know guys jacked up old trucks back in the day and they did fine and this technology wasnt out there then so I am assuming I dont need it but I wanted to ask you professional Jeepers since you have been so much help so far. By the way, this jeep is AMAZING looking!!!!!!!!!

I have a 4" lift and 35" Nitto's and I did use the Pro-cal to adjust my speedometer but if you want to keep yours the way it is you are not going to hurt anything. I also flashed mine for shift points and gears but I am not sure it really did anything or it was all in my head.

The flashed worked, unflashed the trans is all confused and will kick a gear ratio error DTC,

Not gonna hurt anything. Your speedo should read slower than you are actually going, right? If so, then your odometer will show less miles than you will have actually gone so remember that too, for service stuff. My .02 is that the Procal is a neat little device and I am a fan of daytime running lights and it provides that for me too.

Yes Mr Augie Im going faster than my speedometer shows. I never thought bout the odometer so I will have to calculate that. I may just keep it but just sounds so expensive for so little gain.

The price of a Procal is cheaper than the average speeding ticket, not to mention the increased cost of insurance for several years. It also clears codes and has other functions.
It may not be a 'toy' to look good, but it will save frustration, time, and money.

Why not buy one for $100 off of someone on CL or a forum? As long as they've restored their vehicle to factory settings (for selling it, de-modding, etc), you're good to go.
What year do you have? From your post it sounds like you have the Pentastar.

its a 2010, I didn't figure anyone ever sold these to be honest. I will start looking around at that option if I can find one cheap enough. I'd be ok with 50-75 dollars. No worries about a speeding ticket, its only 5 mph so I can remember that, plus its a Jeep, I aint flying up and down the road like i do in the car lol. I go low and HIGH now in the jeep

I have a 2.5" lift and 35" duratracs. Tried without the procal just to see how she drove. Once I used the procal module I felt the money was well spent.

I have decided to keep it. RK Sport just called and gave me free shipping on my new hood so I took that as a sign. My gas mileage has dropped from 16 to 12.5. Not sure this will help that at all but its a cheaper try than a regear lol
