Light Bar Inside Stock Bumper?

Im interested in seeing if anyone has done this or if anyone has any thoughts on this.

First let me tell you about what Im thinking. Id like to eventually go with ACE's new Pro Series front bumper with the LED lightbar cut out, but I dont really have $500 to shell out on a bumper that I don't really need right now. With that in mind I mainly do most of my wheeling at the beach on the outer banks, light forest trails, mud, and the occasional few inches of snow we get here in NC every year.

I dont see too many rocks or thick trails and my front bumper will most likely not be damaged off road. Visibility on trails, the beach, or rural roads with plenty of deer just waiting to jump directly in front of the jeep are more of a concern right now.

I've seen a number of other people cut and mount winches inside the factory bumper and Im curious whether or not a 10" Rigid SR spector light bar would be possible to mount in between the factory fog lights, with a little cutting of course. Id also be going with a pair of rigid Duallys (Not D2's) mounted on the windshield.

I just wanted to gauge peoples opinions and see if anyone has thought about or even done this before.

Quadratec has three options $70 & up. Check them out. I have the cheapest ones and they shake over bumps. Kind of annoying and I would recommend the higher priced ones $90 if I recall. But then that could be money towards a new bumper when you start spending near $100!?

Yeah Ive seen the light bars they offer (If your referring to the rugged ridge, mopar, and mbrp light bars) and they look great with KC lights, Hellas, or even light force lights, I just don't like the look with a small led light bar attached. Every penny counts nowadays so free/diy/etc is more of what I'm looking for.

I just got the RealWheels Prerunner light bar. It was a bit more $$ but looked sturdier and I wanted to avoid shaking. Installing it this weekend, hope it was with it!

Installed RealWheels Pre-Runner light bar and lights today. Bar is very sturdy and good finish. I like that it attaches to the mounting brackets below the plastic behind the bumper and no hardware is visible. I didn't cut the ends off the spacer as per instructions but cut circles out to pass through it for neater install.

Looks great...I'm consider getting this light bar...

What kind of tool did you use to cut the circles? Also, how well has it been holding up? (since your post was from earlier this year).

How far out does it come from the grill (can you post a profile shot?)

Thanks!!
