New exhaust

Hey... I'm starting to look into getting a new exhaust mainly because I want a deeper and louder sound to my tj... That being said I'm not looking for something overly loud where it may be obnoxious when the top is down. Any suggestions?

Flowmaster 3 chamber.

Dynomax cat back exhaust system. Deeper sound, and not much louder than stock.

Flowmaster 50. Enough to sound nice, but not too loud.

Banks monster cat back. Nice low growl and no drone with the doors off. Super easy install. Took about 46 min for the install.

I have the full Borla exhaust on mine with the SS header and the full polished SS cat back system. Has a nice deeper throaty tone to it that sounds like aftermarket exhaust but not obnoxious like some I hear

I loved the MBRP I had on mine until I did my tummy tuck, it wouldnt fit other wise I would still be rocking it.

I was just looking around on quadratec and saw that they make a dual tip exhaust for jks does anyone make something like that for the tj?

Any exhaust shop can put two tail pipes on a rig, you just need a dual outlet muffler. Im not sure of the benefit though. JKs have V6's if im not mistaken

No. There is not any room to around the drivers side.

Yes. I'm quite happy with mine. 'Course, I spent twice as much on the tip as I did the muffler.

BayLLC 02-14-2013 05:26 PM

I'm still learning.. But is there some sort of disadvantage that makes this one $40 as opposed to the $300 flow master and other systems?

X2 the dual tail pipes won't do anything for the TJ's I6, it might do some gains for the JK's V6 though

It's not a system like the others, it's just the muffler that needs to be welded in. The systems include piping, and the tip.

I'm pretty sure none of them are true duals on the jk.

Magnaflo, slightly louder than stock. It has a decent rumble at idle' but not obnoxious at higher rpms.

That, and you're not paying for the Flowma$ter name. Don't get me wrong, I've been running them for years, and I have one on my truck, but for 40 bucks, the Thrush is a deal.
