ground clearance

i've been looking around and can't seem to find the information i'm looking for. i just bought a '13 jk sport 2 dr, i'm suppossed to pick it up tomorrow morning and i was going to have them throw on some new bigger tires while i'm there. i'm looking for just more ground clearance, no need for an extreme amount of travel or anything like that. so what is the ground clearance from ground to axle and from ground to frame? and how much more will i get with 33's and no lift? i'd like to get around 10 under the axle and maybe 14 under the frame.

i'm not oppossed to a lift if i need it to reach the ground clearance i want and i'm not dead set on 33's either but i have no real way to compare at this point.

With 32's you'll have a minimum of about 10.5 and can fit them without a lift. If you have the S package you are already there.

33's will give you another1/2 inch.

i don't have the s package, just the stock 29's. this is where i get confused and can't find the information, where is that 10.5 with 32's? is that under the axle or frame? if under the axle, how much higher does the frame sit?

Some reading material below. 2013 should be pretty much the same.

10.5 is the minimum on the stock S, Sahara, Rubi. I assume it's at the bottom of at least one of the diffs but ... I never measured.

so the spec they give on the spec sheets is under the axle, i assume the frame is more then 4 inches above the bottom of the pumpkins so anything 32's or bigger will do the trick.

thanks guys.
