To lift or not to lift...

Just got a 2010 Sahara and I am trying to figure out my first mod. I live in north ga and 90% of my off-reading will be done on FSR. Everything is stock right now and I would rather invest in some good trail tires first, before a lift. Sooooo...... Opinions?

Try to find some take offs then you can do both.

My Rubicon tires should be coming off in about a month. They've been amazing the 3 or 4 times I've taken them off-road with it.

Thanks Guys!

I would get the lift first. Don't waste money on tires because after (assuming you do get the lift) you'll want to go bigger, or at least that's the way I was. Regretting just a 2.5 SL, should have went with the 4 for bigger tires.

Isn't your rubi suspension just a little higher than his? I'm not sure about any newer models.

I think my Rubi suspension would help lift a 2 door, but not sure if it will do anything for the 4-door Jeeps.

Assuming I left first and then get tires, at what size tire do I have to change the gears?

The interwebz will tell you all of the things you NEED to get. Yeah, I'm being suckered into it. However, get the lift, get the tires you want and drive it for awhile. If you feel there is a loss of power, then worry about the gears. If you're fine with how it drives, I'd leave it alone.

No need to regear until 35s you should be fine with 33s. I'm the same way, did not want to spend thousands re gearing just for 35s, 33s will suit me fine
