Ventura CB Guy Here !!

Just wanted to get on here and say hello to the WF family Lorie's talked so much about. I own a CB shop in Ventura and wanted to let you all know I was here if any of you had questions or need any help with your CB and/or antenna systems.

I'm going to try and make it out for Lorie's big run March 8-10th so I can meet some of you guys!

Looking forward to it!

If you end up with the Cobra 75, remember to also buy an aux speaker for it so you can hear it while driving. That CB's speaker is only about 3/4" (it has to be small to fit into the mic) and because it's so small, it does't put out much volume. It'd be fine in a quiet car but not in most Jeeps.

Yeah that makes sense. Do you find that more people are going to HAM radio's rather than CB's? I mean you can get a Boufang for like 40.00 or something like that.

Ham radios have their place but 99% of the wheelers on the trail you'll want to talk with while wheeling are using CBs. Few have ham radios too. I have both a ham and CB in my TJ and use the CB 100 times on the trail for each use of my ham radio.

This is my setup... Yaesu FT-2900R 2m ham radio on top, Uniden Pro520XL CB on the bottom. At least that's how it looked right after installing it, it's all coated in dirt and grime now.

Just an FYI- JR doesn't "computer". You'd need to actually pick up the phone and call for info etc.
