Weatherproofing/bed liner

Bought a 97 TJ about 6 weeks ago. It's my first time owning a Jeep and having a great time so far. Use it on road exclusively and have both the front and rear seats in it. It has a Besttop soft top, along with soft/removable front windows.

I live in South Florida, which is subject to lot of spot thundershowers, so there are times when I might not have a chance to put the top up or windows on before it rains. Also, the Jeep is stored outdoors, uncovered, so it's subject to rain and sun (but no snow or ice).

My questions are about how best to weatherproof the Jeep. For the inside, in case it rains with the top/windows down:

-are there drain plugs in the floor so that water can get out? If so, where? Do I have to drill them myself?

-is it a good idea to install bed liner on the floor? If so, is there a recommended process to follow? spray or paint-on? brand?

-anything else I should do to weatherproof the dash or other parts of the interior?

For the outdoor storage:

-is there anything I should do to weatherproof the exterior or undercarriage?

-anything I should do to protect the soft top and windows?

Many thanks in advance.

lift up carpet drain plugs where you put your feet in the front and backseat

Theres a few write ups on bed lining the inside of the jeep on here. I'm planning on doing it soon too. There was one on here today that is titled "GS goes black: Upol Raptor Liner" that is a very good write up. And I'd recommend doing the raptor liner if you go this route. From what I've read, the raptor liner is by far the best and toughest.
