Making Jeep Look More 'Manly'

I have a 2001 Jeep Sahara (White) that pretty much looks like a stock little *femaledog. I was wondering what suggestions you might have in order to get this thing looking better than this.

A big spikey collar!!!

Irongrave 02-18-2013 08:49 PM

start cutting

BLK00TJ 02-18-2013 08:50 PM

Stickers. The right ones add HP and torque.

zbeyer2568 02-18-2013 08:51 PM

What do you mean by cutting? I've already taken the jugs off.

Irongrave 02-18-2013 09:02 PM

lose the plastic on the sides, highline the hood, cut the bumper flush with the frame rails up front.

ShakaZulu8402 02-18-2013 09:03 PM

It sucks you guys aren't delivering on Saturdays anymore.

bountyhunter 02-18-2013 09:07 PM

Plasti dip hinges, grill and fender flares to see if you like the look. If you do, paint them. Black wheels and mt tires would help too.

TJDave 02-18-2013 09:11 PM

Get rid of the big white fender flares. You can get some stock TJ flares in black to replace them with for cheap. Get rid of all the white plastic crap under the doors and buy some nice sliders to go there. That will reduce a lot of the estrogen that Jeep is emitting.

Johnboy11 02-18-2013 09:15 PM

If you decide to get rid of the stock white fender flares pm me, I will buy them off ya if you ship them and I will pay for the shipping. I could always use a second set

Gunner 02-18-2013 09:21 PM

Bedliner the flares, get some mud tires on it, 31's at least 33's are better. Cut the flares so they won't rub, and get some sliders on it.
OH Yeah and drive it thru the tall brush a few times for some trail pinstripes.

Patrick H 02-18-2013 09:23 PM

A 2" lift and some 31" tires would do wonders.

BurlySoldier 02-18-2013 09:23 PM

Budget boost and mud tires.

J Rig06 02-18-2013 09:26 PM

Mud...and lots of it

blueskiesbill 02-18-2013 10:25 PM

First and most important question, how much expendable money do you have? If you have thousands well then a lift, 33's, some better flares/paint the white ones, throw some rock slides in there. White jeeps look real nice with some blk wheels, blk accessories and a nice lift.

If you are on a tight budget then just a whole bunch of spray can bed liner will get you going. Spray those wheels, flares, head light bezels, front grill........

Paint it black!!

Take off your skirt and be comfortable as a man and don't worry about what a bunch of wannabe's think. Do the add ons as you can afford them and enjoy the jeep experience for what it is. It's different to different people, not everyone is a rock crawler or black diamond trail guy. Have fun with it at your pace.

Our jeeps look very similar lol. Good choice! :thumb:

I suggest new wheels and tires, and remove the milk jugs. Also some mud never hurt either.

Which company makes that rear bumper?
Did the gas can carrier come with it?

callbob 02-21-2013 09:09 AM

Looks like a new Warn

I believe it was a Body Armor bumper. I painted the jerry cans and they did come with it but it was a display model so I am unsure if they normally come with the cans. The latch was a piece of junk so I ordered a new one from Garvin industries with the thumb lock and then modified it a bit with a grinder to make it fit. I built the rack that sits on top of it myself.
This is actually my wife's jeep :whistling:

Don't let that fool you though.. She gets all kinds of people complimenting her on her Jeep and she gets plenty of Jeep waves. I drive it too sometimes and get points on my mancard for doing so.

CheepJeep2001 02-21-2013 06:07 PM

Can't really see how the tab as can are attached. If possible can we get a pic of that. I have two and have not found or seen a mount that I like.
