Front End Wobble AND Centramatic Wheel Balancers?

HI All,
I bought some tires (235/75R15 Michelin XCX/APT) and ssc rims (sears 15" #73) and had them balanced and mounted at the shop. I still get this wobble in what I think is the front end. It starts at 45MPH and I can feel it shaking through the stearing wheel. When the stock rims and tires (GoodYear Wrangler 215/75R15) are on it's fine. I called sears where the rims were originally bought and he said I didn't need the Centramatic Wheel Balancers. I'm not sure whats going on becasue it's fine with the old tire set. Also, it was suggested that maybe I need a nut that has an extension that goes in to the rim but sears said the spec'ed ones where the acorn shaped ones that I have on there now. I used the search function here and found some things to look at but because there is know wobble with the stock set of tires I wasn't sure if those fixes applied. Anyone have any specific insight to this type of wobble?

TIA,
evs

the tires are most likely not balanced correctly. I would take them back and have them rebalanced, or rebalanced at a different shop. even a tire that is a little off balance can cause wobble in the front end.

X2. Having them balanced by another shop is the way to go as a first step. I have had friends that had wobble with stock tires, so if your tires are balanced correctly, have the alignment checked. Out of those two, that should generally solve your shimmy.
I've had the Centramic wheel balancers for a few months and they don't eliminate the wobble but they have smoothed out the ride in the tires so for me they do work. The balancers would more of a last resort or you could use beads in the tires as well.
