Buying a new jeep, what should i watch out for when i go see it?

So I have my eye on a 2002 Wrangler Sport with 38,000 miles, 4.0L i6 engine and manual transmission. It's blue with a soft top and a slight lift. I know that the transfer case is shot, but that will be fixed prior to my potential purchase. I am hoping to go see it tomorrow and I am curious what you all think I should keep my eye out for, or ask about. Possibly regarding the transfer case or anything else that might be an issue linked to that. Or anything else that I should watch out for.
Thanks!

I would be concerned why a T/C was torn up at 32k. That's unusual unless it was a freak accident.

The car fax is clean no accidents and has been in CO its whole life.
What are somethings that could have caused it to go out/what else could it have damaged?

How do I check? Just whether or not it works or are there signs I should look for?

Check the frame for rust mainly where the transmission skid plat bolts on to the frame. Anothere thing is drive around and try to hear the axle assembly for noises like a rusty metal part move or a ruff grinding sound. And check the sway bar links.

Look undercarriage for rust/leaks and also at the repaired area. Highway drive it to check for vibes. Make sure all heating/ac controls work along with all lights/blinkers. Check 4WD. Almost unheard of for a 13yo Jeep to have only 38K miles and a broken T/C. Check the body lines/paint for questionable repairs. Carfax unfortunately doesn't catch all accidents, only reported ones.
