best fitting mats/cargo mat for 2013 with sub

Looking at mats to buy for my new Wrangler and there alot out there to choose from. Who has the best fitting all weather mats? Matching cargo mat to fit cargo area with factory sub?

fljeepleo 02-26-2013 01:41 AM

Weathertec

Quadratec.

This is what happens when you ask a "best of" question; everybody's got a pet opinion.

Even though they're often lumped together, there's a difference between a floor mat and a floor liner, IMO. Mats are like strips of carpet, minimal protection. Liners (like the Q's) will contain a good amount of snowmelt, mud, etc.

Read these threads (all of them, every word :D) and decide for yourself what you need:

Then i meant liner

I am very pleased with my Rugged Ridge's.

I suspect they make the Qudratec liner as logos are the same oval with different names.

xcoaste 02-26-2013 09:08 AM

I have quadratec, and they have been as advertised so far.

kramer2k 02-26-2013 09:16 AM

I'll put this issue to rest with my totally objective input.

Quadratec :D

Like kbw said, you'll get answers all over the place. I love my Qtec liners.

Qtec- look damn near identical to Bestop and Rugged Ridge, about 30 bucks cheaper as I recall.

My Quadratec liners have saved my factory carpet from mud, ice, salt, snow, slush and a dropped bottle of water so far...highly recommended. They did have a deal going where one set of the liners was free if you bought the other two, and they give you a $20 credit as well. Not sure if that is still happening or not.

I had the weathertec set (front, rear and cargo) but returned them because i felt they were very thin and didn't seem to be as durable as the quadratec ones. both fit very well and will do the job. i just liked to weight and material used in the quadratec's more, plus they are a little less money.

Both years use the same molded plastic sub tub - just a swap of the woofer brand.

I went with the Quadratec and I like the fit. I had the molded sub in mine when I picked it up. I recently pulled the sub tub and put in the non-sub molded panel and added a seperate sub enclosure.

The only notable thing about the Quadratec one is that it is more plastic feeling than their front mats. Not a bad thing as it is more rigid, but I was expecting a similar rubber feel like the fronts. But the fit around the sub panel was very good (while I had it)...

I got the beefy Quadratec liner for the cargo area, and the Weathertech liners for the front & passenger rows. Best of both worlds, IMHO...:D

I have a 2013 Sahara Unlimited am looking for something that will also protect the back of the rear seats when they are folded down, my dogs are big and I want to fold down the rear seats so they have the whole back end "flat" for traveling. Does anyone know of a cargo mat that will cover the rear seat hinges and backs?

I just installed quadratec's rear cargo liner in my new 2 door Rubicon. I cut out the areas for the back seat clamps so I can keep the seat in there. I was able to get the front brackets to latch when the seat is folded up but I can't get the back brackets to latch when I try to put the seat down to use. I cut away more of the openings thinking that is what is stopping it and also took out the little mini carpet mat underneath it but it still will not reach. It's lined up right, it seems. Anyone have this issue and find a solution? I need the seat from time to time so don't want it out completely.

I just got the Quadratec ones. They appear to be pretty good. They fit great around the sub. I have not gotten them dirty yet, so I am not sure how they will hold up, but I assume they will be fine based on the many discussions on here.
