Winch

There's a guy in Nevada selling a Warn XD9000i, says he used it for 2 flat pulls and that's it. $700 shipped. Is this a good deal, good winch etc?

Warn XD9000i Self Recovery Winch

I know Warn is considered to be top of the line but wanted to see if anyone has any feedback on this model. I haven't done enough research to know the difference between the VR, CTI and XD models......

Same model I have. I got mine for 375.

JOCJK 03-04-2013 01:03 PM

375??? Did u rob the guy and leave him 375 as a thank you?

Justin04Lj 03-04-2013 01:04 PM

They seem to have a good pull rate. And I like have the 9000 lb capacity. Just nice knowing if I get really stuck I still have a chance. I also like the look of the non movable control housing, but they make them with the movable boxes also.

Lol no he had just been selling it for a while and didn't have a remote and it is just a little sun faded. But got a neoprene cover to help that.

I paid 100 for mine it just need it to be clean and a warn dealer replaced the solenoids for free iff its the old modle is to hi for a used winch 2 pulls or not its been outside for a long time at that price i will look into the new ones they have now unless that one comes with syntetic line iff not 400 to 500 will be the value just my 2 cents good luck

wouldn't pay over 500 for a winch that was unpackaged.....

Thanks for the advice. I found a new Ramsey 8000 for 575. Any thoughts on that brand?

Why not just go with a Warm VR for $480 or Warn VR1000 for $580 ?Brand new with great customer service...

Colo-TJ 03-05-2013 01:49 PM

Ramsey makes a good winch.

Hmm guess I haven't done my research. I felt like all the Warn products were $900 plus......I may have to look into that.

The Ramsey on Craigslist is a higher end/American made model like most warns. The Vr series are produced overseas and branded as warn...... Not sure if that matters.... But when I was doing my own winch purchase, Ramsey and Warn seemed hand in hand.

BreckenridgeYJ 03-06-2013 01:53 AM

Scratch that!

Better idea: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Warn m8000 shipped for 649.00. Plus there is an 80.00 rebate from warn right now ;). Net price $569.00 shipped. And no gas bill going to Denver.

I feel like a psychic..... Next post will be from John: "Ordered!"

The VR winches are nowhere near the quality of that 9000i.

Personally I'd offer the guy 600 for that thing & get it coming.

The 9000 is a really nice winch, I've got exactly that same one on mine, but with synthetic, and I love it.

COCOLO 03-07-2013 10:12 AM

check colorado4x4.org there is a guy selling a warn 1200 used for 300..
