I absolutely love this Jeep and have a few questions for the owner about the lift with the oversize tires and OEM wheels... I saw it and cant remember who is lucky enough to own it... can anyone lead me in the right direction of who to contact? Thank you

I don't know who's jeep, but....

It looks like it is on a 2.5 inch lift, stock rims wrapped in Goodyear Duratrac 285's with wheel spacers.

alabamajeep 03-06-2013 02:32 PM

Those are not Duratracs, they are Fierce Attitudes 35x12.5x17. Not sure who it belongs to though....

TopTomato 03-06-2013 02:54 PM

What OEM rims are those? They look slightly darker than my stock ones.

Chip schleichardt 03-06-2013 03:06 PM

There off a mountain or a black ops edition Jk.

Chip schleichardt 03-06-2013 03:09 PM

I have an mountain edition and I love the way they look. So when I lifted it I kept the stock wheels and just used spacers to clear the 35s.

Thorshammer7 03-06-2013 03:14 PM

Good looking rig.

How can they be 12.5" wide tires on a stock rim that is 7.5" wide? I have never heard of tires that wide on rims that narrow.

A lot of peeps on here (me included) run 12.5" wide tires on 8" wide wheels. The stock wheels will work fine.

swamphunter 03-06-2013 05:21 PM

So if those are the mountain edition rims, what size are the rims... 17?

Pittsnogled 03-06-2013 05:25 PM

that rig belongs to holy_crap

I pm'd him last week up his setup, like it a lot myself

fjnardo 03-06-2013 06:56 PM

This is what holy_crap sent me on the details:

TeraFlex 2.5" Coil lift on top of the TeraFlex spacer leveling kit
The tires are 35x12.50x17 Fierce Attitude M/T
The shocks are Fox IFP 2.0 Racing Shox.
Spidertrax 1.5" spacers

All of which I ordered as his Jeep is impressive looking!

yjmark 03-06-2013 08:06 PM

what is the paint color on the wheels ? love the dark color?

PieFace 03-06-2013 08:10 PM

The wheels are "carbon".

They are the stock wheels on the 12 rubicon. (maybe others)

The 12 wheels were a little darker than 11's but not as dark as the COD black ones

jsmithtx 03-06-2013 10:14 PM

It does look good.

MikeR13 03-06-2013 11:37 PM

I agree they look good. I was trying to decide if I wanted to spend the money on new wheels or just get bigger tires for the stock ones. Both jeeps on this thread look good. I think I will just get the wheels painted black and put 35s on them once I get the lift done this summer.

REYoungJr 03-07-2013 04:05 AM

So the 12' Rubicons came with 17 x 8" wheels?

yjmark 03-07-2013 04:58 AM

So is the color called carbon?

A 0.5" is a lawsuit when it comes to tires.

Any place mounting tires on a rim that is 0.5" smaller then the tire manufacture's minimum rim size is not only voiding the tire's warrentee, but assuming all liability should there be an accident involving tire failure.

thank you for the laugh nick.. i got a good chuckle out of that too! :D

As someone mentioned previously, those are off a Mountain edition. I have a 2012 Rubi and the wheels that came with it are called Mineral Gray, and hardly as dark as those.

I wouldn't mind getting a hold of some of them. Think they look sharp, especially on a white jeep. I plasti-dipped mine black, but the novelty of an all black wheel is wearing off for me. I see these Carbon wheels or some ATX186 Slots in my near future.

CCK 03-08-2013 09:06 AM

could also be Oscar Mike wheels. They are also the dark grey moabs

Can stock Rubicon shocks be used with the 2.5" TeraFlex coil lift?

The shop I go to always has something to say about my 12.5 on a 8"
Their manufacture --which I think is Cooper--recommends a 10"
He says my wheels are too small for my tire
