Hello members just got this app

Had a 94 jeep now I got me a 2011, Can't wait to start working on my new additive toy. Any info would help to mod my engine to put on 35 with a 2.5 or 3.5 lift not sure yet.

Carlos_817,

First off Welcome to the forum!

To run a 35" tire, you don't really need any engine mods. The most you will need is a set of gears to compensate for the increased tire size. Also you will need a tuner to calibrate your speedo for the new tires. The gears are really what will help you get back into the stock RPM range and will return your power back close to stock.

As for the lift kit, you can run anything from a 2"-3" and you can fit 35's just fine. Anything over 3" will leave your Jeep looking a little silly with the huge gap between the tire and fender.

35's are a great tire size to run for a dual purpose rig, they leave you with enough ground clearance to tackle some great trails, while leaving you pretty comfortable to drive every day on the road.

If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I can help you out!

Thanks that helps a lot . I need somebody on here that knows the ups and downs on this jeeps, I don't want to put or make my jeep look silly I just want it to have enough power and have good enough MPG on the road also. But I would like to see pics with jeeps that have 35 tires or 32 tires with a 2.5-3.0 lift.

Also I have a friend that has a 2012 jeep. 3.6 L It seems that his has more power then my 3.8 L 2011 once I get my rear gear upgraded then maybe it will help. Thanks I will PM you soon

Welcome!

Remember you have to swap both axle's gears not just the rear.

I have a 4" lift and 35's. I don't seem to have excessive wheel space on my jeep, though I have stock fenders for now. To run 35's at stock you'll want 4:88's. if I had to do it again (or on my wife's jeep soon) I'd go 5:13 being automatics. Come to the meet this Saturday and check out a few examples of different builds. It will help you with ideas, than have Zack at extreme set you up.
