TWF 40" light bar installed

All I can say is this thing is bright. It is the dual illumination where there the outer three rows are spot and the inner section is flood. I didn't take a night photo, but I have them set up so the throw is just a hair farther than my brights with almost daytime illumination. They put off an insane amount of light.

I used an eBay light bar / windshield guard that is manufactured by a Jeep Forum member in Houston and attached it with Axia GPS mounts. Everything came together well; however, I ended up making my own harness connected to an ARB style switch, but in hindsight, I should have just ordered the $30 Ridged harness.

Can you tell me where you purchased the USB port. I just read about that in JP last month. How do you like that?
As for the lights I love light at night so way to go man. Glad it all worked out for you.

The one on the left is just a Griffin lighter plug I got at Best Buy that runs off switched power and the one on the right is a lighter replacement port with a single USB from a company called Blue Sea that I have wired unswitched.

PStov98TJ 03-07-2013 10:13 PM

That doesn't even seem real!! Haha definitely having some light envy right now. I just installed some KC Apollo long ranges and I thought those were bright

Derp 03-08-2013 01:18 AM

Link to the light bar please?

aTX427 03-08-2013 08:46 AM

Trail Worthy Fab. Not sure if they advertise here, but are common on Pirate 4x4

jgorm 03-08-2013 09:00 AM

These new LEDs are brighter than HIDs, (but also cost way more!) I'd swoop up one of those big bars if they ever come close to $200 instead of $1000+

aTX427 03-08-2013 11:26 AM

You have to shop around. I paid less than half that.

Jared234 03-08-2013 12:11 PM

Well give us a hint where you got it...

i like that guard. is it hard to install? is it something that can be removed easily?

cctriesch 03-15-2013 04:12 AM

Who makes that windshield guard an where can I get one? I live in Houston.

AVtj03 03-15-2013 04:43 AM

effing awesome... me want

2500hd 03-15-2013 01:47 PM

I have a Rigid LED mounted up high on my Polaris Ranger and even though it is half the lenght it is def enough to turn night to day. Especially when plowing with the white snow.

The lights are awesome! but just like everyone else that wind shield bar really caught my eye. Do you have more info on it or a link?

I found it on eBay. You can order them with various light tab options. I liked the low profile design and how it guards the windshield, which I recently replaced. The light bar was easy to install once you get the windshield bolts out. It reuses the lower bolt locations and you can either use self tapping get screws at the top or install nutserts like I did. The seller is on Pirate and they are fabricated in Houston.

MIZFAN 03-17-2013 05:32 PM

My buddy put these lights on the front and back of his H1. These things are unbelievable.

kyle32 03-17-2013 09:20 PM

Ebxgsxr 03-18-2013 01:35 AM

how is the glare off the hoodline from the light bar? doesn't seem too bad from the pictures.

Most led are pencil beam style so it won't be bad at all.

Ebxgsxr 03-19-2013 09:17 PM

what light bar brackets are those & what size are they?

aTX427 03-25-2013 04:51 PM

Axia Lowrence GPS brackets. Not sure the length

CountryBoyJeep 03-25-2013 05:18 PM

Can we see a daylight full view picture of the front of your jeep? I want to see how it looks all together.

Gold Miner 03-25-2013 05:38 PM

Do they make a protective cover for the light bar when not in use? HWY driving in Colorado would destroy that lens within a year.

Illumination LEDs is in the process of making a cover for them. They will be available in clear, red, amber and possibly blue and made of polycarbonate.
