how old and how many miles?

i just bought my jeep on friday and it is a 2004 wrangler. its very clean and everything runs good. the only down side is it has 149xxx miles on it. the first owner drove it halfway across the country. but the national average is about 15,000 a year it seems about right. how old is your jeep compared to the miles?

TJandZJ 03-10-2013 10:39 PM

My husband and i bought our 2004 wrangler (sport) on Christmas Eve last year. Has only 40,000 miles on it and was a southern vehicle. :)

drillbit 03-10-2013 10:43 PM

but i think with mine it was a primary vehicle. 40000 and a 2004 make it sound like it was a secondary/ offroading vehicle

We bought our 2013 Sahara on 12/31/2012. It's about 2 1/2 months old and 804 miles.

budke 03-11-2013 04:11 AM

my old 92 had 61k on it when I totaled it in October 2011
My 04 has 64k on it.

Wondertwin1 03-11-2013 04:46 AM

02 with 57,000.

Carfax said the first 2 owners had it a year a piece and drove it about 14,000 a piece. And the last guy had it 5 years 7 months and drove it 16,000. I've had it 3 months and put about 2,000 on it.

My buddies dad has a 98 Sahara with right at 43,000. Both southern vehicles and have OCD owners(when it comes to vehicles).

hdb 03-11-2013 06:31 AM

I got a new '05 and have driven it 114,000 so far.

Sdizzzle 03-11-2013 01:19 PM

5 previous owners -.- 150k on my 95...I have also herd the national average for miles a year is increasing and it's somewhere closer to 20k

Rayko 03-11-2013 01:23 PM

05 Rubi, 95K.

BlueRidgeYJ 03-11-2013 06:32 PM

94 with 241k.

For industry purposes, less than 12k a year is "low mileage", while over 15k a year is "high mileage".

'89 yj bought it 2 years ago with 88,400 miles. It currently has 96,000 and its my daily driver. Old 2" lift with 32x12.5 15 bfg's currently. Its also a 258 6cyl with the 5 speed. It's my 2nd jeep. My first was an '85 Cj 7 stock with 31x10.5 tires. It was my first car at 17yo and had more wrong than right with it but I loved it lol
