I have an 02 wrangler that I just put a 2 inch lift on. I already had 31/10.50's on it but now I want to upsize to a 32/11.50. Im already having problems with power with the 31's and the 3.07 gears and wanted to upgrade my gears. I did the calculation from stock tires and gears to the new tire and gear ratio and came up with 3.53/3.55 either or. Alot of peaple are saying go with 4.56 gears but I think that may be overboard. I still drive the jeep eveyday on the highway and dont want to kill my milage b/c I travel 80 miles a day. Any help with this would be appretiated.

Yeah either 4.10 or 4.56 would be the best for 32's. If you want better mileage go 4.10. More power go 4.56.

I honestly wouldn't go from 3.07 to 3.54. It's just too much of a cost for the improvement. Really you want to think about where your rig is going to end up. If you plan on hitting the 33 or 35" tire in the next year or so then I'dd go with 4.56 or 4.88. If you think that you will stay at 32 or 33" max for the life of your TJ then 4.10's would be a nice gear for you.

Yep, 4.10. Definitely don't waste your hard-earned $$$ regearing from 3.07 to only 3.55. Tire and gear calculations only tell part of the story and usually leave new Jeepers who regear based on their calculations undergeared as 4.10 would leave you.
Heck new Rubicons come right out of the factory with only 30.5" tires with a factory 4.10 axle ratio. :)

i would leave it for now till you figure out what tire size your going to end up at. so your on 32's with a little power loss i hate to break it to you but its a jeep. i had 3.07's with 35's and was fine for a while, i loved the gas milage on the highway but was lacking uphill pull. your looking at a grand and horrible gas milage til your funds allow bigger tires. i have posted in other topics about regearing and it makes logical sense dd should have low gears in the axles aka 3.73's maybe 4.11's ( if you have an auto) then you can make up for the power loss in your t-case by doubling doing a 4:1 whatever you want. you can't shift your axles stick with what you got you can do a 4:1 kit later on for under the price of regearing your axles.
