Odd noise pressing and releasing clutch pedal since fluid change
I have an 02 X with 32k on it. Since I've owned it, it's been very difficult to get a smooth, clean shift out of it without riding the clutch a little. The last week or two, I've been doing more highway driving than usual lately but despite all that the clutch has been making a slight squeaking/rattle sound when you push the clutch in and release it. It sounds fine when it's out of gear and released or pushed in and the strange thing is it didn't start until I switched to redline mt-90 synthetic oil as recommended here.
The bad news is the shifts haven't gotten any better, notchyness going into second when cold or shift quality has not improved since changing the fluid over to synthetic.
I would think that it's the fluid you put in that is at doubt. Change to another brand or the oem spec. I know this is not a great help or the answer u would prob'l like.
