5.3 vortec build summer of 13'

Well plan is to put my 5.3 vortec in my 97 wrangler se. I've got the motor and a big list of things I soon plan on buying. Can you help me out with things I may be missing....
Plan is:
5.3 vortec
Headers idk what to buy
700r4 mechanical (less electrical the better in deep water I figure)
original t-case. (np231) I believe.
beef up the front and rear axles. 30 spline with detroit lockers.
fuel pump? will stock 4cyl work for stock or cammed 5.3?

I know I need an adapter for the tranny to t-case. Im interested in piggy-backing the engine ecm to the wranglers computer to save money and sticking with the belt driven fan. Can you help me with my "parts list"?

Instead of going Auto why not T56 6Speed? You will need a bigger Fuel Pump for sure!!! MSD-2225 Fuel Pump (We have them, good to about 500HP).

I can pick up a 700r4 with torque converter $600 reman with 2 year unlimited mile warranty. and its easier to convince the fiance that the build is a good idea if she is able to drive it when its done... ;)

good call then! Those 5.3L take boost very well... Is that 5.3L a Lm7 (iron block) or L33 (aluminum block)?

I'd have to take another look at it, but I do want to put a cam and springs into it. I read a build online from carcraft magazine and they gained over 90hp with just the cam.
Have you seen or heard of anyone who has piggybacked a 5.3ecm with the factory wranglers?

Not in a Jeep, i have handful of friend with 5.3L in nissans though. The heads for an LS6 can work as well. Its a great bulletproof engine

•The NP207 & NP231 transfer cases are adaptable to the TH700R4 by using #171 series adapter kits.

LS3 manifolds will work perfect they are off the 5th gen Camaros
I used the stock Jeep fuel pump and just ran a Line from the pump to the truck rails
I kept the stock jeep Pcm and used the 53 PCM
used a Truck K&N setup without the heat shield
I used the novak fan
used a fan from a V6 4th gen Camaro
