Marble Canyon - Sunday 4/7

5 Attachment(s)
I ran this trail with Steve last week and much enjoyed it....So lets do it again for those that couldnt make the first one! The rocks are a bit bigger than marbles, but a good size if you are lifted a bit. I would say that 1 locker would be advisable (maybe Steve can tell us if he has run it with someone that wasnt locked) I'm sure its doable, but stock hieght would not be good for this run.

The location is just past the divide of 173 and Arrowhead Lakes Road..

This is a very enjoyable road and maybe if we get through it in time, we can run 2n17 like we did last time....Start time will be 9am at the meeting spot below...Some additional pics as well.....:thumb:

I'm in!

I should have my lockers by then. Sounds like fun. I'm in unless I'm forgetting some previous commitment that my lovely wife made for me.

Powertrax lunchbox lockers. I wanted to do something since I'm completely open, but I didn't want to spend too much since I'm still on D30/35 and stock gears. Seems like a future axle swap would probably include selectable lockers if I go that route, so didn't want to pay for it twice.

Ha ha. That's the way it works at my house too. Whoever puts something on the calendar first wins. This is why I missed the last one. Said I was in, then went to put it on the calendar... DENIED!!

Fortunately for me, the previous commitments usually involve some sort of camping trip with her mountain biking friends so it isn't too bad.

We had a JK with no lockers out there with us once. He did fairly well till the end and got stuck, had to self winch out. Rocks rolled on him. Till then he was online and having little to no difficulty. He was on 35's though.

As I stated before, armor is big on this trail. Underbelly and rocker protection a must.

I should hopefully finish putting on my suspension by then, I'm in

Hey Bill, short term memory. Did you forget that I am open in the front and limited slip in the rear, but made it through fine. I did bend the front tie rod though, but no biggy, fixed already. I am however lifted and on 35s.

Joe.

Hey right on!
The date and time is great for me...the wife won't be attending this one...she has a photography business outside of her day job and has class pictures or a wedding (I don't know I can't keep up) to shoot...so just me and my son...

Now remember guys some of u cut a few corners last time....lol

But yeah...it would be nice to see everyone with 33s and at least 1 locker ...

I'm gonna try to get out there Sunday and see if I can find that other canyon I used to run...its alot like Marble Canyon ...

After Phil broke on 2N17X (I believe it was)a while back I put a tight limited slip diff in his non C-clip d35....he's gettin around purdy good now....need to get him back over soon to get that front axle hooked up...
As it turns out there is a lot more easier (simi) bypasses on the trail then I first thought..but a strap may still be in order...

So if ur open but on 35s and hopefully runnin a lower gear u'll do well..

NO gatekeeper Fo sho!

Not sure yet, but I know I wanna go, that trail looks like fun.

530ktm 03-29-2013 10:17 PM

It's a few miles down the road from where you get off of hwy 173 to go to Pilot rock. We didnt run the whole trail last time and had plenty of time to run Pilot rock afterwards
