HELP! Undecided on many options!!

Hello,

I've long been a Jeep fan, and will be making my first purchase. It's seems like forums are one the best ways to really get some knowledge from fellow consumers.

I am struggling with several issues going into the buying process. For starters, I know I will be purchasing the 13 unlimited Sahara. I am hoping to keep my upfront costs as low as possible. The reason is simply longterm financial concerns.

The TOP!!!!

I have always stated that a hardtop is for someone who doesn't really need a jeep. I've planned on purchasing a soft top, solely because here in Austin it's sunny year round.

I am considering a hard top because security, drag on hwy (gas mileage)...and I'm thinking after market prices would be more expensive than a soft top.

The dual top seems to be a urban legend, and can't find any online review or info...seems like a wasted expense.

2nd the Lift??!!??

I do not have the right tools or spacing because I'm a renter to self install. But wanting to add a 2.5" - 3" lift with tires...possibly 33" or 34". Does that makes sense first of all? Which suspension lift kit should I go with?

Sorry for the very long thread. Thanks
